PRAYING DURING THESE RESTING DAYS BETWEEN HOLIDAYS
Well, here we are on the first Monday after Christmas We’ve had quite the weekend of celebration and now some of us are back at work, others having those lovely quiet “in between days.”
These are good days to hear the call of our Creator to stop and rest a while and so we want to do that today.
John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Heavenly Father, We thank you for sending your only begotten son for us. May we always be truly thankful for all the sacrifices that You have made for us. We pray that we will never forget the true reason for this season. Lord help us to tell others of your wonderful deeds that they may also know you, Amen.
A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. John 13:34
We pray Lord that You will help us to always remember the unconditional love of God and help us to follow your commandments and love one another as You love us. We pray that You will equip each of us with necessary gifts to be effective in our local community to lead others to Christ that they may also know our Lord and personal savior, Amen.
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
As we look forward to the coming year we pray that You keep and protect us all. We pray that we will always delight in the Lord and that You will grant us the desires of our hearts. We pray for Your continual blessings in these final days of this year and into 2022 and that You will continue to direct our path as we look to You for guidance.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6
We thank You that You are Emmanuel, God with us. We pray that not only in this season but in all seasons, we will always remember that you are with us. We pray that we will always remain faithful to You and dwell in the house of the Lord forever and that Your goodness and love will follow us. Let your favor always rest upon us and be a shield of protection around us today and throughout 2022. Amen.
