Hope For Today Videos

I'm so grateful that the God we serve and to whom we bring the issues of our lives before, is a God whose ways are entirely just, a faithful God, without prejudice.  And not only that but a God who is full of mercy and grace.

We live in uncertain times and I’m grateful today that in the middle of the many uncertainties and unknowns there is so much that we do know that has stood the test of time and which will carry us through. The Word of God is tried and true and appropriate for every situation we find ourselves in.

We need courage and self-control today to face the tasks before us of building life according to God's plan. Let’s be people who believe God, trust God, and find the success He promises. 

What does it mean to practice hospitality of the heart even during times when the words and actions of others that are quite different from ours get on our nerves a bit?

In this age of media that has so much content that is not of the character and morals that reflect God’s heart and ways, I’m asking myself how my viewing of these things is impacting how my life can be a light.

Whether it’s ourselves, local businesses, or governments, I think we are all trying to learn how to be creative, resourceful and flexible with what we have these days.

Do we want to be happy?  Here are eight ways to get there as taught by Jesus Christ, the one who is the way, the truth, and the life.

To be thirsty is natural.  To long for God is how we were created. The only solution for physical thirst is to drink and for our spiritual thirst is to welcome God.

How many times have we had to turn around in order to move in the right direction to our destination?  I’ve been known to make U-turns in all sorts of unlikely places. Sometimes passengers in the car with me appreciate those moments and at other times they just shake their head!!  Well, I’d like to talk today about another kind of U-turn that we need to make every time we find ourselves heading in the wrong direction.

We spoke yesterday about doing all the good we can. We know we are created to do good but .... truth be told, it's not always easy to do good, is it? How can we overcome the obstacles we will often face?

John Wesley said this about doing good: Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can. What would that look like for us today?

We’ve seen all kinds of news in recent w eeks of people asking for benefit packages from governments or work places to give them what they believe they are owed.We spoke yesterday about the importance of dealing with the sin problem we all carry and entering into a new life-giving relationship with God through Jesus Christ. What we receive from God when we do that is the best kind of benefit package we could ever dream of.
