All We Need

Lots of unions are seeking new contracts for their members that include salary increases that reflect costs of living increases. 

They know that inflation threatens a person’s buying power and their ability to get all they need.

Our great joy today is that we had the best negotiator on the job for us long before we even knew we needed Him and He got us the absolute deal of a lifetime.

God is able to make all grace abound to us so that in all things, at all times, having everything we need, we can abound in good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8

Loving God, you know how vulnerable many of us feel when it comes to being able to afford decent housing, and nutritious food, as well as pay for medical and dental bills.

Your promise to provide everything we need in all things and at all times so we can abound in doing good is certainly beyond our comprehension but not beyond our faith in Your goodness.

Today we want to do things Your way, God. Your Word reminds us:

What you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing what he wants you to do. Then he will give you all these other things you need.

Matthew 6:33

Help us, Holy Spirit, to believe You are good and that it is Your intention to do good to us.  Help us to seek You and follow You and give priority to things that You show us.

Lord, You are our shepherd; We have all that we need.

You let us rest in green meadows; You lead us beside peaceful streams.

You renew our strength. You guide us along right paths, bringing honor to Your name.

Even when we walk through the darkest valley, we will not be afraid, for you are close beside us. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort us.

You prepare a feast for us in the presence of our enemies. You honor us by anointing our heads with oil. Our cup overflows with blessings.

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue us all the days of our life, and we will live in the house of the Lord forever.
