I Affirm
What is true that underlines all we are as we face this day? We all wake up to some kind of mindset and almost without thinking, we think about various things and filter news and events around us through our mindset.
Some time ago as I reflected on my life and God’s place in it, I wrote these life affirmations. They are based on principles we find in God’s Word, the Bible.
And so I ask the question: What does God say about the value of my life.
My Value: I am loved by God always. I am loved without condition. My life is of great beauty and infinite value.
We read in the Bible:
Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life. Isaiah 43:4
How wonderful it is to know that God gave a person, alright – He gave the life of His only son, Jesus Christ, in exchange for my life. How much value do I believe God sees in me if He was willing to do that?
What does God say about the purpose of my life:
My Purpose: God has a plan for my life that is meaningful, purposeful and joyful. There is a work for me to do today that will bless others and give me deep satisfaction.
And here’s a verse that You’ve heard me repeat over and over again.
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10
My purpose today isn’t complicated – it’s simply to follow God’s guidance and do the things that are already prepared and planned for me to do today.
What does God say about my problems
My Problems: God is always with me. I need never face my problems alone. Together with God, any difficulty can be worked out and overcome.
I could have picked many verses from God’s Word that affirm this and here’s one:
The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; Psalm 34:19
So today, let’s let what God says about us shape our mindset and filter life events for us. Have a great day.
