I have a lovely glass jar I sit on a shelf in my dining room. I set it on a shelf and put different things in it that shine. Sometimes I have a candle in it and sometimes I put bright coloured flowers into it. It makes my house look more inviting because it shows lovely things.
God created you and me and put us in this world so we could show His creativity and beauty. He made us beautiful and special, displaying in us different, wonderful things from day to day.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)
King David was reflecting on this one night as he looked at the stars. He thought about how wonderful God is and how beautiful God’s creation is and then he thought about himself – just a little man – and he said this:
What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. (Psalm 8:4-5 NLT)
King David knew something that I trust you and I can come to know deep in our hearts. God made us so we are filled with honour. God made us so we are His masterpiece.

In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:20-21 (NLT)
Today I want to bring beauty to my world. I want to let Jesus make me clean and ready for the honorable work God wants me to do. How about you?
