Amazing Grace (2)

Friday November 15, 2013

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV)

When we accept God’s amazing grace, His gift of Jesus as payment for our sin, then God gives more grace, which is His strength, to stand firm in Christ like ways.  This is what his word says: He anoints us; He sets His seal of ownership on us declaring we are His children;    He puts His Holy Spirit in our hearts guaranteeing everything that He has promised will come to pass.     That sounds to me like God is freely pouring out His grace on each one of us beyond all we could ask or even imagine.

Did we do anything to deserve this grace so freely given?   NO! Our part when we hear about God’s amazing gift of Jesus is to accept the grace that God is offering through Him.   God will be faithful to perform all that He has promised.     Will you accept this amazing grace that God is offering you?    His grace is sufficient for all your needs!  Jesus said in John 6:29 (NIV):  “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.

In the Bible we also read: Each time he (Jesus) said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT)

Will you believe in Jesus, the one God has sent?     Will you receive Him into your heart today?
Today is the day you need to make a decision about this amazing grace of God so freely given.
