Integrity

Righteousness guards the person of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner. (Proverbs 13:6 NIV)
Integrity is one of the most valued character qualities a person can have. A person of integrity has strong moral and ethical principles. They are known to be honest regardless of the circumstances they are in or the company they keep, or while they are alone with no one watching. What you see on the outside is the same person they are within. People of integrity keep their word, even when it is not convenient. They are honest in all their dealings, personal and business. They practice morality in their sexual life, both in mind and with body. They are not perfect. They make mistakes and occasionally sin, but they do not cover up their offences, they confess them and deal with any consequences.
Integrity is a character quality developed in a person who has been living according to the Word of God. A person with integrity will seek God to reveal things beyond their understanding. At times our conscious, subconscious, and unconscious mind will hinder our walk with God. However, no secret is hidden from God. God knows all things and if we ask Him to reveal hidden things which are hindering our walk with Him, He will bring them to light so that we can be healed. ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ (Jeremiah 33:3 NIV)
When we choose to walk with integrity and honest intent before God He will uphold us in the middle of whatever circumstances we face. He will give us peace in our hearts and the strength to withstand our enemy. When we acknowledge God in all our ways He has promised to direct our path.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Because of my integrity you uphold me and set me in your presence forever. (Proverbs 3:5-6; Psalm 41:12 NIV)
If we have been stumbling in our walk with God let’s consider how our life would change if we chose to walk with integrity before Him.
