A Life Plan God's Plan

Some of us lost our way in childhood because of unfortunate events that happened to us or happened around us. Others of us slipped into confusion and wandering later in life because of adverse circumstances. We were unable to see a workable life plan for our future and when negativity set in we fell into an addictive and destructive lifestyle. Even now, as we come into recovery, we are unsure of who we are or where we fit in society in general. We desperately need new information so we can move forward into a purposeful life.
Lord … You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. (Psalm 139:13-14 NLT)
The first part of a successful life plan is coming to know there is a God who created us. We are made in God’s image and God truly is amazing. God’s ultimate plan is that we would live meaningful lives reflecting His unfailing love for us. As members of the human family, God has gifted each one of us with special qualities that make us unique. These unique abilities are meant to equip us in fulfilling the life plan God has for each of us. There is nothing haphazard in anything that God does. He has established a plan for each of us, and is at work fulfilling that plan in our lives.
From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ (Acts 17:26-28 NIV)
Today, trusting that God our creator has a pleasing plan for our lives, let’s embrace the opportunity to find out what He has prepared for us and ask Him for the courage and strength to carry it out.
