Is Your Room Confirmed?
Thursday September 1, 2016

Homelessness has been an issue we often faced while in addiction. However, entering into a new life with God in recovery assures us of a home with Him forever.
Jesus said: Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. (John 14:1-3 NLT)
This certainly gives us something to look forward to. Jesus, who created this world and us, and who came to earth to die for our sins, has gone to heaven to make a place ready for those who trust in Him. When we think of the spectacular beauty of the earth we can hardly imagine what that place will be like. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait for heaven to find a safe and wonderful home. God promises one with Him today.

Jesus said, All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them. Anyone who doesn’t love me will not obey me. And remember, my words are not my own. What I am telling you is from the Father who sent me. (John 14:23-24 NLT)
When we accept the unfailing love of God for us and turn our will and our lives over to His care, Jesus says that He and His Father will come and make their home with each of us. Our hearts and lives will be filled up with all the fullness of God. The Holy Spirit will walk with us and teach us everything we need to know. How wonderful! A home filled with God’s loving presence!!

But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. (John 14:26 NLT)
Today, let’s give thanks that the issue of homelessness has been forever resolved for us.
