Facing Problems With Confidence

When we were in the pit of our addiction God pursued us with His love and brought us out of darkness and despair into His wonderful light. He has promised that He will never leave us or forsake us. No matter how many troubles or trials we may encounter, we can be certain that together with God any difficulty can be worked out and overcome.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10 NIV)
God is never in a hurry. He never quits or runs out of patience. God will help us deal with our problems one issue at a time until each issue is resolved. He will then allow us to rest for a while as we function with a different set of parameters. At the appropriate time, He will help us work on other problems.
When it seems that progress is not being made, it's often because the Lord is very patiently helping us deal with underlying issues that are the real root of the problem. Sometimes, in our own haste to get things done, we focus on an issue that is not yet resolved rather than rejoicing over all the others that have been sorted out.
Work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. (Philippians 2:13 NASB)
It may be tough, and it may take time, but if we commit ourselves to the process of healing, sooner or later we will experience the victory in our lives that we have desired for so long.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank you for your patience with me when I was busy making the mess I'm currently facing. Help me to be patient now as together we sort things out in Your timing and in Your way. AMEN.
