Facing Problems With Confidence (2)
Tuesday December 8, 2015

When we look around at others we may become disheartened by assuming that they are problem free. However, that is a false impression because we may not be familiar with what is going on in anyone’s life. In this fallen world everyone has problems. Jesus said,
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. (John 16:33 NLT)

Problems need to be sorted as they arise otherwise life will become even more complex. When we first begin to sort through the current mess we may feel overwhelmed by what is involved. However, we must keep in mind that a start has been made and that we are on the road to recovery. God has begun a good work in us and He will completely untangle all that concerns us. The solution to feeling overwhelmed is to keep thanking God for the progress we have made thus far and trust Him to lead us forward in our needed healing—one step at a time.

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but we don't give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going. Through suffering, these bodies of ours constantly share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies. (2 Corinthians 4:8-10 NLT)
One of the problems in our instantaneous modern society is we expect everything to be quick and easy. If something isn’t resolved quickly we leave it and move on to something else. It's difficult for us to have the patience to stay with a problem until we see a breakthrough, and that's why we need God's help. If we ask Him for help, God will give us the strength to deal with today’s problems and help us move forward on the path He has prepared for us.
It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. (2 Samuel 22:33-34 NIV)
Today, let’s resolve in our hearts that God is always with us, we need never face our problems alone.
