The LORD is my shepherd, I...

Partners In Hope
"Offering hope, support and healing, helping people out of harmful circumstances, and walking them through the process of building productive lives."

FEBRUARY 2012

Offering hope support and healing through Jesus Christ as we reclaim the gift of our lives from addictions and destructive lifestyles.

It's definitely winter weather -- mostly rain here in Vancouver but bitterly cold none the less.  Rain bites when it comes down and who knows when snow will fly.  It's a tough time to be outside or anywhere, struggling with addictions and poverty in many ways.  Here at Partners in Hope we try to be friends who stick together when the journey is tough.

We've tried to fill this website with information that provides for practical needs of those feeling vulnerable and offer ways for all of us to learn and share together.  If you or someone you love is in need, click on any of the coloured links below to check out our resources or contact our office for further information.

We've loaded this website with lots of  helpful information for you as you take steps towards making important changes in your life. Browse around the site and anywhere you see a  coloured link that interests you, click on it and you're likely to find some helpful information or an encouraging story. Read the most up to date news on the blog (see PiH Community News blog on the lower right of this page).   Elsie Quick explains more about Partners in Hope in the following video:

THIS WEEK - 12 Step Meeting Resources

SQUAMISH MEETING VANCOUVER MEETING
TOPIC: Step 6-What Does Willing Look Like? TOPIC:  Step 1 - Powerless To Get Up And Go On
TIME: 3:00pm TIME:  7:30pm
DATE: Wed. Feb. 8, 2012 DATE:  Thurs. Feb. 9, 2012
LOCATION:  Mountain Valley Mission, LOCATION:  Mission Possible
37739 Second Avenue, Squamish, BC 543 Powell St, Vancouver, BC

Discussion Details - Squamish:  We can solve problems only by becoming willing to change something about ourselves.  That “something” is the one who is in charge of the change process in our lives. We need to become aware of ourselves as children of God, in the present.  With surrender to the love and truth God reveals, old responses can be put away and all things can become new.   View or Download "Step6 - What Does Willing Look Like?

Discussion Details - Vancouver:  Sheep sometimes fall on their side and then onto their back.  They bleat and cry but it is very difficult for them to get back up again.  If left in this ‘cast down’ position the sheep will eventually suffocate and die.  We, like the sheep, are powerless to help ourselves when life becomes chaotic as a result of bad choices but God wants to care for us if we will let him. . View or Download "Step 1 - Powerless to Get Up and Go On"
