At Just The Right Time

What time is it? How much time does it take for the job to be done? What’s the deadline? Whether it’s a student handing in an assignment, a reporter filing a story, a business making an application, or a person filing their taxes, there’s a time and place for things to be done.
One of the wonderfully reassuring truths the people of God know is that God always does things right on time.
And this is the plan: At the right time God will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. (Ephesians 1:10-11 NL)
Even better, God who sees all of time, made all kinds of wonderful plans before the earth was even formed. Now, in just the right time, God is bringing about those things that He planned and prepared in advance. That includes good things God has planned for you and I to do in our brief time here on the earth.
Our day to day activities do not have to be something that is “helter skelter” according to the whim of the moment. As we follow God’s will for our lives, we live into something beautifully planned and fully prepared for us according to our abilities and our place in life.
But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Galatians 1:15 NLT, Ephesians 2:10 NLT)
God ordained a place in time for each one of us. He never crowds us. At just the right time His perfect will and plan for each life is put into effect. He knows each name for it is written in the book of life. We can rejoice, for today the right time in His divine plan for us is here.
