Faith (2)

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 NIV)

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)

God’s original design for humankind was that we live our lives in relationship with Him forever. Sin separated us from God. However, God loved the people He created in His own image so much that He sent His beloved son to pay the price of restoring our relationship with Him. God has plans for our lives and He desires that we be obedient to these plans because they give us hope for good days now and an eternal future with Him in heaven.
You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. (Philippians 2:5-8 NLT)

When we have faith in what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross we will be restored to fulfilling life with God. He becomes our Father and we are His beloved children. We have faith that we have been delivered from death to life forevermore with Him. Like the little baby going from the security of its mother’s womb into this world we will go from this world to the place that God has prepared for us.
That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT)
