Meditations on "Relationship"

This coming year is a fresh opportunity to go deeper in our experience of coming to believe that a Power greater than ourselves can restore us to sanity.

“Hark, now hear the angels sing, a King was born today, And man will live forevermore, because of Christmas Day”

Lying contaminates and destroys relationships and so life in God’s world is based on His spiritual sanitation system of telling the truth.

What is prayer? Simply put, prayer is talking with God.

Jesus was repeatedly sensitive to people and what they were going through, and He reached out to them with mercy and compassion.

Although the Prayer of St Francis is beautiful and often quoted or sung, it’s much more difficult to put into practice in everyday living.

Our public relations policy is based upon attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio and films. AA 11th Tradition

God has forgiven us for the wrongs we have done and now we need to make amends and, if possible, reconcile with others

Our self-image should be based on why we exist at all

God has given us spiritual friends to accompany us on our journey to recovery. 

We need the continued care and guidance of God as we learn to come alongside others and work co-operatively with them towards our common goals.

When we live responsibly, God will abundantly bless us.
