A Life Plan Gps For A Good Journey In Recovery

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT)
As they travel, many people make use of a GPS device, particularly when they are travelling unfamiliar routes. It’s so convenient to plug in an address and have the GPS plan a route and then take us through the journey. It tells us which roads to take, how far we need to travel during each segment of the trip, and gives prior warning when we are to make a turn. When we make a wrong turn it even shows us an alternate route to help us get back on track. These travel instructions may come from an App on a smart phone or a device clipped on the car visor. To ensure we are travelling in the right direction, we may have someone check “the blue dot following the line on a digital map” or often now, we just get step-by-step guidance by listening to a digital voice. 
In our journey of life, only God knows all the details necessary for us to experience a satisfying life and get us to our eternal destination. God desires to lead us day by day as we travel. God knows every situation ahead and directs us accordingly. He even knows how to redirect us when we go astray.
God has given us His Holy Spirit to be our travel companion and guide. When the Friend comes, the Spirit of the Truth, he will take you by the hand and guide you into all the truth there is. He won’t draw attention to himself, but will make sense out of what is about to happen. (John 16:13 MSG)
God has provided us with a master plan for our journey of life carefully written down in great detail in the Bible. It contains all the information we need for any and every situation we will face. Let’s take time today to consult with God for a safe journey and follow His directions throughout this day, one instruction at a time.
