What if each of us lived more like Jesus and let goodness and love flow freely from us to others? What if we were faithful to do everything we promised to do? How would our lives and the lives of those around us change?

God is consistently merciful, gracious, patient, and filled with truth and goodness. However, when we encounter adversity in our lives we are quick to think God is being harsh and blame Him for the hardship. “Where is God?” we ask. In every challenge or time of trouble, God is with His precious children. God desires that we trust Him and believe He is working for good in those things that concern us. No matter what happens in life, we are assured of God’s unfailing love for us and the fact that He will never leave or forsake us.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 NIV)
God has a plan for good for each one of us, to give us hope and a future in which we will prosper. A person with goodness in their heart will naturally exhibit that goodness. The Bible tells us to guard our hearts against anything that is contrary to what the word of God says because what is in our hearts determines the course of our lives.

My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body. Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. (Proverbs 4:20-23 NLT)
Regardless of what is troubling us today, let’s embrace God’s goodness and allow Him to direct our steps in the way we should go.
Prayer: Loving God, Please remove any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way I should go. I desire to have the life of joy and peace you promise to those who trust in You and obey Your commands. Amen
