How are we expected to know what is right? How do we know what is wrong? What is helpful? What is harmful? How can we be sure that we are making the right choices? God knew we would need help in this area and, through the scriptures recorded in the Bible, gave us moral laws that instruct us how to live a purposeful and pleasing life. God has a plan for each person’s life and has provided the wisdom we will need through each step of the journey.
Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. (Proverbs 3:5-6 MSG)

See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance. (Hebrews 12:15; Proverbs 1:5 NIV)
As we take inventory at the end of the day, let’s listen for God’s voice. Let’s ask Him to help us accept the things we cannot change, for the courage to change the things we can, and to give us the wisdom to know the difference.
Prayer: Loving God, I confess that I don’t always seek You about the choices I make. Help me to improve my conscious contact with You and purposefully listen to what You say. AMEN
