Here we are in a new season with students back in school and lots of church and community programs getting going for a new season.
It’s good to keep in mind that God has plans and purposes for us in each season and as we discover what they are and put them into practice, our lives will not only have stabilizing routines but we will experience real satisfaction and joy.
From the Bible we are reminded:
The plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Psalm 33:11
Great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve. Jeremiah 32:19
Heavenly Father, We’re grateful that You have a wonderful purpose for each of our lives and particularly, for this day. We pray to enter into Your purposes and live there so this day is one of joy and satisfaction for us and helps us build more and more into the bright future You have prepared for us.
You promise us in Your Word that:
The Lord will work out his plans for my life—for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me. Psalm 138:8
So, we quiet our hearts and minds as we ask You, Holy Spirit, to whisper help to us to hear and recognize Your voice and to hold on to the good things You tell us. Thank You God for not only making plans and having purposes for our day, but for giving us everything we need to do that successfully. Amen
Remember these lovely words:
For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
So with joy and anticipation let’s keep God’s plans in mind today and work to put them into practice.
