Hope For Today "Anger"

News events in these days bring into sharp focus that anger and hatred that so many seem to be filled with as opinions and convictions about numerous issues come into focus. Differences of opinion and conviction come into view. But we must remember this:  hateful angry sarcastic speech and acts of violence are not God’s way.

We would do well to search our hearts to find out what is really going on inside us and deal with that rather than simply expressing anger about something or someone.

We live in a world of people who seem more sensitive than some generations in the past and who struggle to deal with hurtful things that happen in life When a person is hurting it is hard to open their heart to receive love – including love that God is offering until they find healing.

Today we hear so much profanity in music, in movies, on TV, on the street, and in print that it almost seems it’s the normal way to communicate.

Moments of anger, disappointment, and frustration are real times of temptation for us to speak dishonourably.
