God has a plan for my life. Many of us have found peace and security as we have believed this truth.

Not only does God love and value us but He also has a special plan for each one of us.

In some recovery circles we affirm this “Life Affirmation #2” on a regular basis: My life is of great beauty and infinite value.

“For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part.

In some recovery meetings we affirm three life affirmations.

Oh, how I love your instructions! I think about them all day long.

When you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

Do not say what is wrong in other people’s lives.

… we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

Our parents or caregivers are deeply connected to our lives on many levels.

As we recover from addiction, it is emotionally draining for us when we come to the place of having to deal with the harm we have caused others.
