Meditations on "Temptation"

When temptation comes, we need to call out to the Lord for help and then decisively stand firm on His Word.

As we give our will and our life over to His care, one day at a time, one moment at a time, God promises to heal us and give us a life that is truly satisfying

God promises to provide all we need so we can live well and do wonderful things

Pride is destructive because it removes God’s presence and God’s will from any thoughts about how to deal with a situation.

Prayer is the number one strategy to employ in order to find the solutions and strength we need. 

As we follow God’s guidance and allow God’s Spirit to mature the fruit of self-control in us, we will both be blessed and be a blessing to others around us.

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. (1 Corinthians 6:18 NIV)

Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Colossians 3:17 NIV)

A patient person is very smart. A quick-tempered person makes stupid mistakes. (Proverbs 14:29 ERV)

However, when we cry out to God and bring the “bully” before Him, the tormentor loses his power

It's time to stop pretending.  We need to say what we mean and mean what we say.

Showing mercy and forgiving others is God’s way for us to walk in His light.  This will bring peace to our souls and settle our hearts.
