Meditations on "Peace"

God invites us to the peace and security of living in the truth that He truly does care for us.

God is more interested in our long term peace and stability than in our demands of the moment.

We won’t necessarily understand WHY we are at peace, but we will recognize a calmness and a serenity in a deep place within us that wasn’t there before.

When we are operating with a victim mentality or are trying to be a saviour, we need to allow Jesus to heal us and bring us peace.

We must seek God and give Him control in revealing what needs to go, as well as when, and how.

Planning gives us peace in our hearts knowing that we have reviewed the specifics of how to get to where we are going, and what we need to get there.

The fact is, Jesus came to save us and obeyed the plan of His Father even to death on a cross.

The birth of any baby fills us with awe and wonder but the birth of Jesus was even more amazing because of who Jesus is.

In His mercy, God waits for us to turn from sin and turn our will and life over to His care. He gives us His Holy Spirit to be with us and to live in us.

Knowing the difference between good and evil and making a choice for good is not always easy or convenient but, if we ask Him, God will help us to make the right choice.

Continuing to choose our way through rationalizing, rather than God’s way of forgiving, will have a damaging effect on our recovery.

God promises that as we give to others He will pour even more back into our lives.
