Meditations on "Courage"

We often give up on God before His plan for us, in His perfect timing, takes effect. Jesus’ death on Good Friday came before His resurrection on Easter Sunday. Things looked hopeless for Jesus’ followers during the time between those two events, but God was still in charge.

We can’t “fight our demons” on our own but when we ask our all-powerful God to help us, He will give us so much more power to do so.

Forgiveness is the only way to stop the pain of a buried grudge.

Are we surprised that Jesus came into the world so we could have freedom from sin and our dead spirits made alive?

Who can show us the way out of darkness into the light? Jesus says He is the Light and if we follow Him, we won’t have to walk in darkness but will have the Light that gives life.

We come to believe as we give God a chance to work in our lives and then watch how He does.

As we act in faith and obey God, one desperate circumstance at a time, we will find that God will do all He promises.

We do not face any crisis alone, we do it with God, and He has committed to helping us be overcomers.

In every situation, we choose to do the things we know to be right, then prayerfully wait in God's care and protection until our problems are resolved

Pride is destructive because it removes God’s presence and God’s will from any thoughts about how to deal with a situation.

The founders of AA were very clear that we needed to know both God’s will for us and have the power to carry it out.

We are most like the devil when we lie.
