Meditations on "Gratitude"

We pull down every proud obstacle that is raised against the knowledge of God; we take every thought captive and make it obey Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5 GNT)

For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see. (Psalm 36:9 NLT)

We are instructed to work hard, to give our work the best effort we can, and to be content with what we have.

We have become beloved sons and daughters of God.  This is the truth that frees us from our past life. 

We are blessed today with a clear conscience as we confess our wrongs to God and allow Him to remove our sin.

With God’s help and our resolve to live in the power of God’s unfailing love, the oppression of stored anger and resentment can be removed from us.

Giving our will and life over to the care of God means that we allow God to determine what is good for us, believing that He works all things according to His will for us

A humble life is grounded in a realistic view of ourselves.

When we put our hope and trust in the unfailing love of God, we become His precious children, and our Heavenly Father rejoices over us.

What a blessing when we could finally say to God, “Take my will and my life and make them conform to the plans You have for me.” 

The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love (Psalm 103:8)
