Meditations on "Lies"

Most of us are well aware of the damage we did to ourselves, our families, and to others in the community when we disregarded God’s authority and tried to do things our own way.

God’s purpose in creating humans in His likeness was that they would be able to have a relationship with Him and would project His image on the earth, in the same way His image is projected in the heavens where He resides.

Who can we trust? Who's reliable? Who tells the truth?

The foundation of our new life in recovery is based on finding life with the one true God.

Negative feelings are usually attached to a lie. To get beyond negative feelings we actually have to reject the attached lie and choose for the truth while our feelings are still vulnerable.

It is God’s plan that we not only know truth but believe truth, speak truth and rearrange our lives with God in recovery so all of our actions support truth.

In recovery, it doesn’t take long for us to realize how much better life is, than we ever thought it could be.

Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil.

God invites us to a good, pleasing, and perfect life with freedom.

Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.

Exciting things happen when people make a deliberate effort to encounter God.

When we were in our addiction, we made bad choices and walked down paths that caused us and those around us pain and harm.
