Meditations on "Recovery"

Growing up I remember hearing the cute Christmas song, "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, my two front teeth, see my two front teeth!

The Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child!

Christmas decorations have been up for weeks. Many malls have prepared a winter wonderland, a special "North Pole" room for Santa to greet his friends.

Christmas lights brighten the dark evenings of December and are a reminder to us that no matter how dark this season may be, the coming of Jesus into the world brought light and hope and joy.

In this season of the year, we prepare our hearts for the annual celebration of Christ’s birth.

Trust in God is foundational for trust in our relationship with others.

Is it possible that God could do something so wonderful in us today that our lives would impact history for the Kingdom of God?

What sorrow for those who drag their sins behind them with ropes made of lies, who drag wickedness behind them like a cart!

God wants to give us more than sobriety. He wants to give us life.

A common recovery saying is that “you must give it away in order to keep it”.

God has a good, pleasing and perfect plan for our life.

In the beginning God created us to live in conscious contact with Him.
