Meditations on "Relationship"

E For some of us, a lifestyle in addiction grew out of our frustration with negative events in our life.

Before anyone gives their will and life over to the care of God, the Scriptures tell us they are dead in their trespasses and sins.

As we begin to follow God’s principles in all our affairs, we may have questions about the future and how God is going to work everything together for our good and His glory.

When we come to the point of making amends, fear can overwhelm us as we think about those we have harmed.

Tomorrow night many children put on costumes and go door-to-door “trick-or-treating.

Often, when we come into recovery, we have no sense of why our life problems took us down the road of addiction.

For most of us compiling a list of people we have harmed and becoming willing to make amends to them is extremely intimidating.

Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path .

After years of listening to other’s harsh and condemning words about us, it’s wonderful to have an opportunity to experience the affirmation of God and to be reminded that as we walk with Him, He is pleased with us.

When we pray the full version of the Serenity Prayer, what are we asking God to do for us?

Being grateful for the people around us and the things we have contributes to living a contented life in recovery.

While in addiction we often considered life, even our own, as pretty cheap.
