Meditations on "Relationship"

Some of us in recovery lack the quality of being hospitable.

Over the long haul, how do we prevent relapse into addictive behaviour and maintain our choice to live in the love and grace of God?

Many of us have questioned God about the purpose for our existence and the reason why certain things have happened to us.

We seldom have a day when we aren't worried about something.

We all long to be genuine and sincere in our relationship with God, others, and ourselves, and yet we often find ourselves being fake and insincere.

Just for today I will have a quiet half hour all by myself to relax and enjoy all that God is giving me.

Today is a day to honour fathers. Some of us are fathers.

In our addiction, long periods of isolation became a way of life for us.

Each day in recovery is a new opportunity to respond to God's call to live in humility, desire reconciliation in relationships, walk in forgiveness and focus on cleaning my side of the street.

We have all been hurt and let down by others. It's simply part of being around humans.

God is tender and compassionate. Knowing and believing that God tenderly watches over us with compassion will allow our hearts to be filled with peace.
