Meditations on "Surrender"

Seasons change. The temperature warms up. The grass begins to grow again.

It doesn’t take a long time in recovery for us to realize how much better life is than we ever thought possible.

When we admit to our helpless state and surrender ourselves to the care of God, we will be born again into a new life.

To stop using our substance of choice is a great beginning in recovery but God knows that unless we deal with the underlying root of our habits and addictive practices we remain doomed for failure.

God’s way is uncomplicated if we will simply follow His principles.

Only after a time of living in recovery with God do we realize how ridiculous we must have sounded when “we told God our plans.

To be “relapse proof” we must be fully surrendered to a life that prioritizes God’s will in all we think, say and do.
