Meditations on "Truth"

When our will and God’s will differ, we need to determine that we will follow God’s will no matter what.

To avoid being led by our own imagination or desires, we need to make an honest assessment of our will verses God’s revealed will, and make any necessary adjustments to surrender to God’s plans.

) People with discernment naturally do the right thing in each situation.

Coming into a recovery group setting is threatening for many of us.

What if each of us lived more like Jesus and let goodness and love flow freely from us to others?

Today we continue to look at conditions which will help us walk in the life-giving ways of peace and blessing that God desires for us.

Who wants trouble? None of us do and as we listen to God’s counsel there’s a lot of trouble we can avoid.

Sometimes, when it particularly suits us, we make excuses for not telling the truth.

Many of us, when we were active in addiction, took risks which were unhealthy and some of us continue to live with the consequences of our actions.

When guard rails are erected they are put there to protect people from the danger that is on the other side of the rail or rails.

In addiction we engaged in all kinds of risky behaviour.
