Happy New Year! There is a line in a Christian music song which says, God has "opened up my future, closed my past.

In just a few hours the new calendar year will be upon us.

Troubles come, sometimes one on top of another. Pressure builds.

As we come to the end of another year and watch the news shows that review the events of this past year, we realize how quickly some things change and yet how slowly other things seem to leave.
