Recovery Meditations

Just for today I will be agreeable. I will not criticize, not find fault, and not try to improve or control anybody except myself.

When we turn our will and our life over to God’s care and trust the new life He gives us, does that mean we should never again reflect on guilty feelings?

The Bible is full of God's promises to help us in our time of need.

When we get rid of something bad in our lives, we need to fill the vacancy with something good.

When we begin to reflect on our destructive and addictive lifestyle, we recognize the dumb choices we have chosen to make.

God created the heavens and the earth and set them to run according to His established laws and boundaries.

Happy New Year! This is the first day of the year 2025 and if we want to make a fresh start to the year we can choose to repent of our past sins and give our will and life over to the care of God, or we can just live in the “same old, same old”.

As we come to the end of another year and watch the news shows that review the events of the past year, we realize how quickly some things change and yet how slowly other things leave.

From the time of creation, it has been God's plan that humans provide support and care for one another.

As we work our recovery program we find that life changes.

Troubles come, sometimes one on top of another. Pressure builds.

A common recovery saying is that “you must give it away in order to keep it”.
