Recovery Meditations

Y Just for today I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle all my problems at once.

R Some of us who have lived a long time in addiction often feel that we don’t have much to live for and believe that the opportunity to live life to the full has passed us by.

Y Repentance involves reviewing the things we have done and admitting that we have not lived up to our own moral standard, let alone to God’s standard.

L This is the season of the year when we prepare our hearts for the annual celebration of Christ’s birth.

It is one thing to talk about rebuilding our lives; it is quite another to do so.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

I don't always know what God's will is for me, but I always know what it's not.

Disharmony in our family, addiction, poverty, loneliness or other conflicts may be part of our life’s story.

When you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

Just for today I will be agreeable. I will not criticize, not find fault, and not try to improve or control anybody except myself.

In the days of the Covid-19 pandemic many of us felt insecure.

When we make amends under the guidance of our loving God, everyone is blessed.
