Meditations on "Lies"

During our time in addiction, we didn't give a second thought about telling lies.

Every time we pray the serenity prayer we are asking God for wisdom.

We are unable to control all our circumstances, but we don't have to let what happens spoil our day.

Denial keeps us in slavery because we are lying to ourselves.

Today in North America we honour and give thanks for the collective labour-force of people within our families, our communities, and our nation.

We tend to base our security on the experience of our personal relationships with others.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

We are not defective and dirty because of the evil one’s influence that caused someone else to sin against us.

Negative feelings are usually attached to a lie. To get beyond negative feelings we must reject the attached lie and choose for the truth while our feelings are still vulnerable.
