In our addiction, long periods of isolation became a way of life for us.

How many of us who have given our will and our life over to the care of God have taken time to acknowledge all that we received by making that decision?

After living so long in the self-centered world of addiction, it’s not easy to come into recovery and build relationships with other human beings, particularly those who have lived in self-centered ways just like us.

Each day in recovery is another opportunity to learn and grow.

Money is often seen as the source of contentment and happiness.

When we enter a recovery program, we are strongly encouraged to quickly find a sponsor and listen to advice from people who have been in the program for a while.

When we first come into a recovery meeting and someone is asked to share their experience, strength, and hope with the group, we are often skeptical in our thoughts about what the person is saying.

Since God has always loved us and consistently called us to Himself, it makes sense that in recovery, we can expect God’s grace and love to take us forward.
