Step Eight - Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.

A humble life is grounded in a realistic view of ourselves.

What does it mean to humbly ask God to remove our shortcomings?

To allow God to remove all our defects of character is asking Him to take away everything that hinders our ability to live life to the full.

Step Six: We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

When we entered a recovery program we may have looked around at the program staff and wondered why on earth they would choose to help us.

God invites us to joy and peace, to forgiveness and to loving relationship.

The exact nature of our wrongs is rooted in the lie that our problems are caused by what is around us rather than what is within us.

Step Five: Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

The basic questions to ask when making a searching and fearless moral inventory are, "God what does my life look like to you?

What is the challenge for us as we reflect on making a searching, fearless, and moral inventory based on God’s way of life as revealed to us in the Bible?

God has taught us how to know His will through the Bible and through following good counsel from pastors, sponsors, and Christian friends who have been faithfully walking with God for some time.
