God loves us and wants us to experience peace and joy in life.

Light and darkness just don’t mix. Yesterday we considered how, and with whom, we are spending our time.

As we experience life with God in recovery we need to consider the people we spend time with and the emotional impact they have on us.

Each day, as we seek Him, God gives us directives to help us walk in the light and overcome the darkness of sinful behaviour.

There is a form of life in the shadows that is negative and promotes “shady living”.

We often describe life in active addiction as darkness and life in recovery as light.

I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises.

Mountains surround the city of Vancouver, BC. The lights of Grouse Mountain are a landmark and are visible each night.

As we noted yesterday, when we acknowledge that we have value in the sight of God and base our worth and identity on this, rather than on the opinions of others, we will begin to experience peace, freedom, and security.

Contentment in life doesn’t come from controlling someone so they will meet our needs nor by trying to please someone so they will like us and make us feel secure.

People with codependency often form relationships that are one-sided, emotionally destructive, and/or abusive.

One characteristic of co-dependency that lurks in the soul of many of us is "lack of objectivity.
