Meditations on "Obedience"

When we give our will and life over to the care of God and repent of our sins, nothing should be held back

Can we assume that if we obey God’s laws our lives will be much better than if we try to manage things on our own?

For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)

God calls us to be those who love and lift others up, and with all that we can, encourage them.

God promises that as we give to others He will pour even more back into our lives.

We pull down every proud obstacle that is raised against the knowledge of God; we take every thought captive and make it obey Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5 GNT)

A patient person is very smart. A quick-tempered person makes stupid mistakes. (Proverbs 14:29 ERV)

God’s Power is awesome to save us from sin but, if we fail to reverence and follow God’s laws, our lives will be in danger. 

Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. (Proverbs 3:5 GNT)

  If we are to reach maturity, we need to faithfully follow God’s principles in all our affairs.

Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9 ERV)

We need to be patient with each other until we come to unity in our faith in this amazing God who has been extremely patient with all of us.
