Meditations on "Relationship"

Many people like to read historical writings about people or events that happened in the past but how many books have we read which contain history plus predicted future events that did not happen for hundreds of years?

To be reconciled with someone who has wronged us is difficult.

God created man and woman in His own image and together they lived in loving relationship with Him and with each other.

God longs for us to experience love and blessing in relationship with others.

Being grateful for the people around us and the things we have, is of great value in leading a contented life in recovery.

We were created as wonderfully complex human beings.

Over the long haul, how do we prevent relapse into addictive behaviour and maintain our choice to live in the love and grace of God?

Many of us have struggled with believing our Heavenly Father would treat us compassionately.

Jesus gave us very clear instructions about loving our enemies and doing good to those who spitefully use us.

For all of us there came a time when we could no longer avoid the realization that our lives were a mess.

What came first the chicken or the egg? When we called out to God in our powerlessness, did we suddenly show up on His ‘locating system’ or was He already waiting and available when we called for help?

Many of us who experience discontentment with life are unable to settle ourselves and be at peace.
