What does prayer have to do with recovery, particularly relapse prevention?

For the eyes of the Lord search back and forth across the whole earth, looking for people whose hearts are perfect toward him, so that he can show his great power in helping them.

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life.

Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

What makes life good? Today, how can we live with a sense of well-being, a heart that is light, and the security of knowing that our relationship with God is on track?

God says: Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion?

Gossip shows up in our lives in many forms. God hates them all because He knows how harmful destructive words are to our dignity and our relationships.

As we learned yesterday, we begin the process of changing our selfish self-centered way of living by first turning our will and our lives over to God.

We might consider that we’ve entered into recovery when we stop using our substance of choice or quit the destructive habit that has contributed to our destructive way of life.

Life in addiction narrowed our focus to a self-centered view of what we wanted or thought we needed.

As we noted yesterday, from Adam and Eve all through the generations to the generation alive today, people have lived in an environment where good and evil are mixed.
