Meditations on "Surrender"

Our pride often keeps us from asking for what we need.

Some of us slid into destructive and addictive lifestyles out of a desire to have friends and companions to belong to.

Many people who come into recovery seeking victory over drugs and alcohol find themselves relapsing into addictive lifestyles when they refuse to obey God’s teaching on sexual purity.

Just for today I will be unafraid, believing that as I trust in God with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding, He will lead me along a good path.

Tony Bennet sang a song, “If I Ruled the World”.

At some point in our lives we came to an understanding that we could not continue as we were.

Everyone faces unwanted hardships and trouble. Some hardship comes because we act in ways that are unwise and end up in circumstances we did not anticipate.

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!

Many of us have questioned God about the purpose for our existence and the reason why certain things have happened to us.

“Half measures availed us nothing. We stood at the turning point.

When we turn our will and our life over to the care of God, He immediately begins to work to help us change.

We got to where we are today by our own irrational thinking and flawed solutions.
