Meditations on "Surrender"

The choices we make today matter to God. God created men and women in His own image and brought them together in a loving relationship with Himself and with each other.

God is willing to support and strengthen us as we lay down our own self-directed ways and invite Him to lead us along the path He has chosen for us.

God’s great love for women and men sent Jesus to the world to pay the price for our freedom from sin.

Rationalizing endorses the internal belief that we are victims of circumstances beyond our control.

Even though we may desire to walk with God and follow His ways, we will still need God's help to accomplish that goal.

Taking responsibility for our lives means owning our behaviour, confessing our sin, and turning away from destructive actions.

To be “relapse proof” is to be surrendered to a life that prioritizes God’s will in everything we think, say, and do.

Anyone who has lived in addiction knows that life's entire focus is on the thing we seek to satisfy our cravings.

When we first come into recovery, we tend to focus on our past behaviour and the things we have done wrong.

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
