Meditations on "Temptation"

Canada is a nation founded on principles that honour the God who created us.

Low self-esteem. No self-worth. We make a mistake and we feel like we are a failure.

I pray with all my heart; answer me, Lord! I will obey your decrees.

God wants us to be successful in recovery and in life.

Today we hear so much profanity in music, in movies, on TV, on the street, and in print that it almost seems it’s the normal way to communicate.

Just for today I will seek to serve others with kindness, doing what is right, and walking humbly with God.

To prevent relapse in vulnerable times we need to allow our lives to be shaped continuously by God's principles.

God wants us to live in victory over temptation. He promises that in every situation this is possible.

Anyone who has tried to break free from the harmful use of a substance or an addictive habit does not need a dictionary to help them understand temptation.

Do I matter? Does anyone notice me? Does anyone care?

God invites us to live in freedom. Freedom for us was so important to God that He was willing to give the life of His Son so that we could experience new life and peace.

Success in life and in recovery results from giving priority to learning and obeying God’s word.
