Meditations on "Truth"

“The heart of the matter is the heart of the matter.

Telling the truth presents many challenges for individuals seeking new life in recovery.

God created us to be moral beings. He has given us a conscience that, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, is intended to help us recognize when our behaviour is morally right or wrong.

Folklore advises, "Let your conscience be your guide.

Life in addiction is life in isolation. We figure things out on our own.

Audio for FINDING THE STRENGTH AND HOPE WE NEED When we were in our addiction we didn’t take care of ourselves and now we realize our need for getting healthy and emotionally strong.

We hold keys to all sorts of things. Losing keys can be a source of frustration and causes us all sorts of problems.

Is there really a God? Is there really a higher power to whom I can turn over my will and my life and receive a life worth living?

Only after a time of living in recovery with God do we realize how ridiculous we must have sounded when “we told God our plans.

We experience true freedom when we have a clean slate with God.

When we get rid of something bad in our lives, we need to fill the vacancy with something good.

Life with God in recovery is like a journey in an unknown land.
