Meditations on "Truth"

Seasons change. The temperature warms up. The grass begins to grow again.

God doesn’t lie. God doesn’t sugar coat the truth.

Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight.

So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

May your unfailing love come to me, Lord, your salvation, according to your promise; then I can answer anyone who taunts me, for I trust in your word.

The Serenity Prayer is the common name for a prayer authored by the American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr.

Jesus says: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.

Jesus is risen from the dead. My life and my recovery have hope because He is.

When we were in our addiction, we made bad choices and walked down paths that caused us and those around us pain and harm.

Our experience of love and satisfaction in life is tied directly to being obedient to God’s will and God’s way.

When we pray we often expect God to immediately change everything for our good.
