Meditations on "Recovery"

From the time of creation, it has been God's plan that humans provide support and care for one another.

As we work our recovery program we find that life changes.

A common recovery saying is that “you must give it away in order to keep it”.

To enjoy a healthy and satisfying life in recovery we need to recognize our need for growth in areas of our character which have been compromised.

The Christmas season is one that is filled with wonder.

About eight hundred years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, God foretold His birth through communication with the prophet Isaiah.

Lots of us are thinking about Christmas gifts – both giving and receiving them.

We are strengthened to stay free of as we allow God to guide and support us each step of the way.

Y Just for today I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle all my problems at once.

Y Repentance involves reviewing the things we have done and admitting that we have not lived up to our own moral standard, let alone to God’s standard.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

When you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
