Meditations on "Recovery"

The Christmas season is one that is filled with wonder.

About eight hundred years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, God foretold His birth through communication with the prophet Isaiah.

Lots of us are thinking about Christmas gifts – both giving and receiving them.

We are strengthened to stay free of as we allow God to guide and support us each step of the way.

Y Just for today I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle all my problems at once.

Y Repentance involves reviewing the things we have done and admitting that we have not lived up to our own moral standard, let alone to God’s standard.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

When you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

God created us to live as honourable people – honouring God, honouring others, and experiencing the joy of living as persons of integrity and honour.

We talk about experiencing miracles in recovery. What is a miracle?

When we are not feeling good about ourselves or our performance and someone takes the time to encourage us with kind words, we immediately begin to feel better.

There are many items to think about when we are compiling a daily inventory of how we are doing in life and recovery.
