Meditations on "Recovery"

At one time or another all of us have surrendered to peer pressure.

God has made many promises, some of which are conditional on our obedience to do what He says.

When we come to know God, the Higher Power who will restore us to sanity, our whole being is turned from darkness to light.

In Step-6 we say we are entirely ready to have God remove all the character defects we have listed in our fearless moral inventory.

Often when we begin our new life with God in recovery, we get discouraged because we feel we are unable to control the urges of our old nature.
