Meditations on "Surrender"

When we turn our will and our life over to God’s care and trust in the new life Jesus gives us, does that mean we should never reflect on guilty feelings?

Since God has always loved us and consistently called us to Himself, it makes sense that in recovery we can expect God’s grace and love to take us forward.

Our pride often keeps us from asking for what we need.

Being grateful for the things we have and for the people around us, contributes to a contented life in recovery.

When we pray the full version of the Serenity Prayer, what are we asking God to do for us?

Moving forward in identifying character defects and allowing God to help us develop our true character is no easy process.

What does it mean to humbly ask God to remove our shortcomings?

For all of us there came a time when we could no longer avoid the realization that our lives were a mess.

Anger in our society is rampant. Most of us have a hard time dealing with anger.

We are experts at rationalizing – attempting to excuse, minimize, or justify our bad behaviour.

We will experience freedom and fulfillment in life only when God’s desires become our desires, God’s way becomes our way, and God’s word becomes our action plan.

Just for today I will seek to serve others with kindness, doing what is right, and walking humbly with God.
